Zhanna Agalakova / Croatia, Netherlands, France / 2025 / 90 min

Zhanna Agalakova, a prominent journalist for a Kremlin-aligned television network, is proud of her country and is determined to instill that same conviction in her Western-influenced daughter. Yet her certainty begins to unravel as she is challenged by her daughter’s critical questions and the shifting political reality around her. As they travel together through Putin’s Russia, deep divides in ideology, values, and generational perspective come to the surface. With her journalistic freedom steadily eroding and the war drawing closer, Zhanna realizes that she herself is part of the Russian propaganda machine.
