Toni, My Father

Anna Negri / Italy / 2025 / 110 min

In the late 1970s, Toni Negri was accused of being the secret mastermind behind left-wing terrorism in Italy. Despite his eventual acquittal and later success as a celebrated philosopher, his daughter Anna looks back on his arrest as a profound rupture in her life. In Venice, the director of this personal work meets her father one last time in front of the camera. Caught between political convictions and personal pain, they struggle for closeness while questioning responsibility and the cost of ideals—for a family and an entire generation.

June 6: If it rains, the screening will be moved indoors.
