This podcast delves into German cinema and society, questioning who decides which stories get told. Through candid, in-depth conversations with filmmakers, it examines power and representation, exploring how artists shape narratives and how these stories can evolve to better reflect a diverse and changing society.

In this edition of KOTTIWOOD as part of Doxumentale, Nuray Zaze Şahin speaks with guests from production, streaming, and media about the future of documentary storytelling and the question of how visibility is created today. Together, they discuss who decides which stories are told, how platforms and new media are transforming the film industry, and which perspectives are given space in German and international cinema. The conversation explores reality, public discourse, power, and the future of audiovisual storytelling — live in front of an audience and recorded in Berlin.
