Doxumentale - the festival and industry event for documentaries, film and media enthusiasts is back! For ten days, this festival in the heart of Berlin will once again be shining the spotlight on films, non-fiction books, podcasts, and virtual reality, celebrating the diversity of documentary storytelling.

19.03.2025

A new beginning: The Atelier Gardens festival experience

The Doxumentale will be kicking off over three days, from 12 to 15 June, at Berlin’s Atelier Gardens—one of Europe’s oldest film studios and an evolving hub of social transformation. The first festival weekend will offer a diverse programme, including open-air screenings, rooftop readings with views from Tempelhofer Feld to Berlin’s TV Tower, an interactive showcase in the historic film studios, live podcasts, and a programme for children and young adults. Visitors will get the chance to not only experience international documentary productions but also to actively participate in discussions and gain new insights through talks and workshops.

A high-caliber film line-up in Berlin’s cinemas, museums, and nightclubs

From 16 to 22 June, the festival will be setting off into Berlin’s cinemas, museums, and clubs, presenting a full film programme with more than forty international documentaries. The first ten films, a non-fiction book, a podcast, and a VR experience have already been confirmed.
