Punk Under Communist Regime at SO36 with Flaws
03 Jun, 2026, 8.00 PM @ SO36
An evening of punk, past and present, comes alive at SO36. The Slovenian documentary Punk Under Communist Regime explores the unique history of punk in former Yugoslavia. After the screening, Flaws, a rising Berlin band, will hit the stage, channeling the raw energy of today’s thriving punk and post-punk scene.
More about Flaws:
Flaws is a four-piece punk band from Berlin. They smash out eggy riffs, riot grrrl–inspired vocals, and garage-infused tunes. Let’s call it “tidally detached exomoon punk.” Expect tempo shifts—from short bangers to twisted, playful song structures.
Their latest release, Not For The Eyes To See, is out now, meant to be played until the tape breaks.
More about SO36:
SO36 in Kreuzberg is a living piece of Berlin’s subcultural history. Named after the former postal district around Rio-Reiser-Platz, it became a focal point for the city’s punk and alternative scenes in the late 1970s.
That’s exactly why SO36 is the perfect setting for this screening. The venue still hums with that original energy: raw walls, close-packed crowds, and a palpable sense of counterculture. Watching a punk film here is like stepping into a place where the spirit of the story never really left.
