Sputnik Kino
"Berlin's highest cinema" is located in the Höfe am Südstern in Kreuzberg, between Hasenheide and Körtestraße, in close proximity to Südstern and the Graefekiez. Situated in the third courtyard of a 19th-century commercial complex with a typical brick facade, the fifth floor of the cinema bar offers a wonderful view over the city. The Sputnik Kino has a colorful history. Founded by the Sputnik collective in 1984, back when the courtyards were still dilapidated buildings, it remains an arthouse cinema deeply rooted in the neighborhood with a loyal clientele. However, due to its carefully curated program and unique location, it attracts audiences far beyond Kreuzberg.
Unfortunately, the elevator at Sputnik Kino is currently out of service, which means the cinema is temporarily not accessible for people with mobility impairments. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
