Filmrauschpalast
Since 1991, Filmrausch Moabit e.V. has been running the only cinema in Berlin’s Moabit district: located on the first floor of the Kulturfabrik on Lehrter Straße, it is entirely volunteer-run by people who love and live cinema.
The program stands for diversity: new releases and classics, arthouse and genre films, Asian cinema and Berlin film culture, experimental works and cult films. Technically up to date with Sony 4K projection, Filmrausch also regularly screens films on original 35mm and 16mm prints, and more recently on VHS. Every summer, the courtyard—nestled between brick walls and railway tracks—transforms into an open-air cinema.
