Dona Kujacinski is a freelance journalist and author. For decades, she has conducted interviews with influential figures. She became known for her bestseller “Hannelore Kohl – Her Life” as well as other biographies and non-fiction books. Her work focuses on contemporary history and personal stories. Dona Kujacinski lives and works in Berlin; she has been writing for the Brandenburg Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports since 2024 and is committed to the preservation of democracy.

Democracy is often taken for granted, but it is increasingly threatened by extremism, populism, and fake news. In short essays, 27 young authors write about online hate, racism, and political apathy. Their texts are a call for civil courage and active democratic engagement.
