Guests

Belina Raffy

Belina is on a mission to help amplify a loving form of stand up comedy as a practice for healing and transformation. Both for people who work on climate and social issues, and for their audiences. The comedy practice she created 10 years ago helps people to think more expansively, and to communicate more delightfully, lovingly, and powerfully about the issues of our time. Her Sustainable Stand Up comedy course has run over 50 times online and in 10 countries.

Thomas Coombes

Thomas is on a mission to apply brain science to human rights and make compassion common sense in politics. He created hope-based communication: a five-shift approach used by hundreds of activists around the world to change how they feel, think, speak and act. Thomas helps civil society groups shift from reactive campaigns to strategies for attitude, behavior and culture change. He shares strategies for social change on the hope-based Substack.

Hands On Workshop with Belina

In this one-hour workshop (in English) by Belina Raffy, participants explore some key practices for identifying genuine lightness in heavy topics, thinking more expansively about the topics you care about, and engaging others in more powerful ways. If you still have hope, are tired of shouting at people, and you want to experience how comedy can be healing, come play with us.
